July 2023 - With the backlog of pending cases in the nation’s immigration courts at a record-breaking two million, the need for pro bono assistance for asylum-seekers in removal proceedings has never been higher. At the same time, that record-breaking number has caused significant court delays as the agency struggles to keep up with its burgeoning docket.
