ICE Detention Program
Since our founding in 2017, we have been providing free legal support to people being held in detention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
People in immigration proceedings are not guaranteed an attorney. As of September 2024, only 15 percent of immigrants had an attorney to assist them when a removal order was issued in immigration court. For people being held in ICE detention, it can be extremely difficult or impossible to find and pay for a private attorney.
We harness the energy of volunteer attorneys who want to step up and provide pro bono representation. Attorneys don't need expertise in immigration law to volunteer with us. We provide dedicated training and mentorship to enable our volunteers to provide quality representation for people in ICE detention.
We are accepting volunteer applications from attorneys and interpreters for this program. Apply now to join us.
