Take Action: Ask Congress to Support Humane Alternatives to Detention

In June, the House Appropriations Committee released its FY 2023 Homeland Security bill that included important language in its report about the need to decrease the number of ICE detention beds and move towards more humane case management alternatives to detention. Now, the Senate has released its own version of a bill, which also contains funding for case management and a reduction in detention spending. We need to do everything we can to make sure that these reforms aren’t cut out of the final bill.
