Take Action: Ask Congress to Speak Out Against Title 42

On April 1, 2022, the Biden administration announced it will end the border expulsion policy under Title 42 that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers and migrants being blocked at the southern border and denied humanitarian protection. Since the administration’s announcement, some members of Congress have proposed keeping the border expulsion policy in place to prevent a surge of migration at the border. But that approach will not improve border management. Tell Congress and the Biden administration the truth about the humanitarian consequences of expulsions and urge them to ensure that asylum law and humanitarian protections are upheld at the border.
