Take Action: Call on ICE to Release People from Failing Detention Centers, Not Transfer Them to Similar Ones

On March 25, the Biden administration announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would end its use of Etowah County Detention Center in Alabama and limit its use of three other detention centers. ICE attributed the decision in part to the particularly harsh conditions at these facilities. But we know these conditions persist throughout the immigration detention system. Join our demand for safe releases, not transfers, of the people being held in these facilities.
