March 21, 2022 - Human Rights First, the Immigration Justice Campaign, and the International Rescue Committee provide an informative training on Afghan asylum claims. We provide you with an overview of the current situation for Afghan refugees here in the U.S. and explain who needs pro bono help. We then teach you the basics of asylum law and flag some of the challenges you may encounter in Afghan cases. This training will provide you with an excellent foundation in asylum law so that you will be prepared to handle Afghan cases.
