Watch our Dilley Snapshots
Six volunteers with the Dilley Pro Bono Project reflect on their week serving asylum-seeking mothers and their children detained in south Texas. Operating a non-tradition pro bono model, the Project organizes volunteer teams for each week of the year, to do everything from interpretation to preparing clients for their asylum interviews. For many volunteers, this work is a powerful and transformative experience of learning what families go through to seek safety in the U.S. – and why they have no choice but to flee.
